How much is it to register for CoEd Soccer?

5th grade $200, but if you register by Friday, July 1st, 2022, you will receive a $25 early bird discount.

6-8 grade $130, but if you register by Friday, July 1st, 2022, you will receive a $25 early bird discount.

Do I need to buy a uniform if I am registered for 5th grade Soccer?

It is included in the registration fee

Do I need to buy a uniform if I am registered for 6-8th grade Soccer?

No, if you have one from the Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 season you do not have to purchase one, but if you do not or if it does not fit please make sure to purchase.

How much is the uniform, where can I purchase it, and what does the uniform include? 

Uniforms for 5th grade are included in your registration cost. The uniform will consist of a Uniform top, uniform shorts, and uniform socks.

Uniforms for 6-8th grade are $70. They include a uniform top, uniform shorts, and a pair of black uniform socks.

What do I need to participate in fall soccer?

Each player will need the designated uniform, soccer shoes, appropriate practice attire, a soccer ball, and shin guards

When do I need to order my uniform and where do I order it?

Players must have their uniforms ordered by August 10th to guarantee that they will be ready for the first game.

How often are practices, when do practices begin, and how long as practices?

Practice are usually 1-2 times a week. They range from 60-90 minutes. Practices will be held at Field Park in Oak Park and Sayre Rutherford Park in Chicago.

How many games are in a season and when do games begin and end? How many games are in a week?

There are approximately 20-22 games in the season.  Games begin at the beginning of September and End the first or second week of November. Depending on the week you could have 1-3 games.  

 

 

What league(s) does 5-8th grade play in?

Each team participates in 2 leagues. All teams will participate in the Forest Park League and Classic League

Do you have a coach for the 5-8th Soccer team? How many coaches need to be on each team?

As of now, we have coaches for each team, but we will be looking for help with practice and a potential team manager for each team.

What do I need to do to be a coach?

All Coaches must be fully compliant to volunteer.

How many players need to be registered to have a soccer team? What if there are not enough players.

A minimum of 11 players needs to be signed up for a team to be formed.  The players that are signed up will be given an option to play up a grade level with a team that does have enough players.

What if there is a large squad of players on a team?

The Athletic Director will work with the coaches to squad the team, add additional games, and/or come up with any other solution that fits the specific needs of the team. Each team will be on a case-by-case basis.  

Is there a parent meeting or team rules/conduct?

Yes, every team should have a parent meeting where player and spectator conduct, playing time, academic eligibility, and team rules are discussed.  There will also be a welcome fall sports video from AD.

Do soccer players have to follow the Academic Athletic Eligibility Policy?

Yes, every player is required to adhere to the Academic Athletic Eligibility Policy.  Please make sure you are familiar with the policy.  Academic eligibility will be reviewed every Tuesday morning and an email will be sent out by end of the day Tuesday.  Eligibility probation or ineligibility will last for one week from Wednesday to the following Tuesday when Academic eligibility is reviewed again. 

How does playing time work?

Playing time is different for each grade level.  In 5-6th grade playing time should be fair for the players. Playing time in 7-8th grade is more competitive. Playing time should be discussed at the beginning of the season at your team's parent meeting.  Please contact your team's coach if you have any questions about playing time.
